Information Collection
Get Stoic does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name or email address to use the app. However, the app and its trusted third-party service providers may automatically collect limited technical information and device identifiers necessary to display advertisements, deliver API services, maintain reliability, improve security, and prevent abuse.
IP Addresses and Security
To protect the Get Stoic Quote API from abuse, spam, fraud, excessive requests, and other malicious activity, requests to our API temporarily process and store your IP address.
IP addresses are used solely for security, rate limiting, and maintaining the reliability and availability of the Get Stoic Quote API. IP address records are retained for up to 24 hours after your most recent request, after which they are automatically deleted. They are not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking your activity.
Advertising and Device Identifiers
Get Stoic displays advertisements using Google AdMob. Google AdMob and its partners may collect and process device identifiers, such as the Google Advertising ID (GAID), cookies, IP address, and other information necessary to provide personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Depending on your location and privacy choices, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policies.
Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required by applicable privacy laws, Get Stoic requests your consent before serving personalized advertisements. Users in regions covered by the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or certain US state privacy laws may be presented with a consent or privacy options form powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You may update your privacy choices at any time through the app's Privacy Settings, when available.
Permissions
Any permissions requested by the app are used solely to provide its intended functionality. Get Stoic does not request unnecessary permissions unrelated to its features.
Third-Party Services
Get Stoic uses the following trusted services to provide its functionality:
- Get Stoic Quote API (our private API for quote delivery, security, and rate limiting)
- Supabase Privacy Policy (backend infrastructure and database)
- Google Privacy Policy (Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform)
These services may process information as necessary to provide their functionality and in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
Data Sharing
Get Stoic does not sell your personal information. Information processed by third-party providers is handled in accordance with their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.
Children's Privacy
Get Stoic is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.
